Reed Sales and Marketing are incredible excited to be representing a national established Structural Steel company in their search for a Sales Manager!

Based in West Yorkshire, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to join a growing business to develop a sales team and increase their own earning potentials!

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to drive growth and expand our client base within the structural steel sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong network in construction and fabrication, a deep understanding of steel structures, and a passion for building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the structural steel and construction sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, and engineers.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the estimating and project teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline using CRM tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within the structural steel or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and project lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and closing opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience with structural steel industry – or at least a strong grasp of construction and key contacts within the industry
