Registered Manager

Duration: Initially 6 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £28 umbrella an hour (£21 PAYE an hour)
Location: Bath
 
Bath and North East Somerset Council are looking for a Registered Manager to join on of their Residential Care Homes for 45 older age residents living with dementia (some complex dementia).
 
Responsibilities:

To ensure the effective management and supervision of the Home, providing strong leadership and role modelling to the staff and ensuring a coordinated approach to the efficient and effective provision of person-centred services for older people, designed to meet assessed needs of service users including those living with dementia, physical and learning disabilities and sensory impairments
Manage and lead a home's staff complement, skills, financial and building resources
To develop and lead the delivery of person-centred care and empowering the decision making
Attend partnership meetings to ensure the smooth running and effectiveness of the service 
Requirements:

Possession of the Registered Care Manager Award or equivalent is essential
A recognised social services qualification
A minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience in care or support work
Good working knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care agenda/inspection and CQC Regulation processes
Evidence of mentoring/management and leadership skills within the performance
