Are you a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher ready for your next permanent opportunity? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced History and/or Geography Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Milton Keynes from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Humanities specialist to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in either History, Geography, or a combination of both.

About the Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education that encourages a love for learning in either History, Geography, or both. You will be working as part of a collaborative and experienced Humanities department with a strong focus on academic excellence and pupil development. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent progression opportunities within a well-respected school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach History and/or Geography to students aged 11-16 across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging, inclusive and in line with the national curriculum.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.

Contribute to a positive school culture, taking an active role in departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.

Uphold and promote the values and ethos of the school.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

Proven UK teaching experience within the Humanities curriculum (History and/or Geography)

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding lessons

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students of varying abilities
