Science Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a science teachers to join a secondary school that is part of the Star Academies. The school has multiple vacancies for teachers who teach Science as a whole and separately for Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The teachers should feel comfortable to teach at both KS3 and KS4.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Friendly teacher who takes the initiative to engage students across all levels. 
• Plan, prepare and deliver informative lessons that foster enthusiasm for learning among students.
• Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
• Update all necessary records accurately as required by school policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
• Be proactive in the use of technology in the classroom to enhance learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Newly qualified teachers also will be welcomed and considered
• Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment framework.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A commitment to continuous professional development.
