Experience working in Alternative Provision or Special School settings is desirable, however, a positive, can-do attitude, alongside experience in supporting students with educational and behavioural needs will make you a great fit for this opportunity.

The ideal SENCO will need:

  • Experience of implementing strategies on a whole-school basis to support students with SEND
  • A thorough understanding of how best to support a range of students with multiple learning difficulties
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a background in coaching students through behavioural difficulties and emotional turmoil
  • Experience of managing a team of teachers/a department
  • A thorough understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and how best to apply this in unique school settings

The successful SENCO will receive:

  • An exciting opportunity to secure a role at a dynamic and inclusive school
  • Excellent in-house professional development opportunities and access to support from a team of seasoned educators
  • A competitive daily pay rate throughout your employment, depending on your experience
  • Support from an excellent team of teachers and SEND specialists who want the best for their pupils
  • The ability to have a demonstrable impact on the lives of young learners in the local area
