The client:
We are seeking a versatile and motivated Product Design and Support Engineer to join our client based in Leicester. This is a hybrid role involving both office-based responsibilities and regular travel to customer sites. The successful candidate will support product development, project execution, and a range of technical services, playing a vital role in maintaining high standards across service, production, and customer engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional / Graduate who enjoys a mix of hands-on site work and technical office-based tasks, with the ability to adapt to customer needs and deliver practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work closely with the Technical Manager and the wider technical team, contributing to a broad range of duties, including:

Carrying out field-based technical support and commissioning services at customer sites, including flexible working hours to meet site requirements.
Assisting with system wiring and related electrical support as required.
Supporting the processing and technical review of orders.
New Product Development, Participating in the development, testing, and documentation of new products.
Providing technical training and demonstrations for customers.
Collaborating with the production team to resolve technical queries and support efficient manufacturing.
Sales Support: Offering technical assistance to the sales team, including specifications, drawings, and customer consultations.The candidate:
Essential 

Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office suite)
Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative technical team
Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites as part of the role
Full UK driving licenceDesirable:

Previous industrial experience within a similar role but we also welcome applications from graduates
