Competitive compensation package includes potential company vehicle (upon completion of trial period and dependent on package) and annual performance bonus.Client Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to handle detailed mechanical and plumbing estimates for high-rise residential projects valued between £5 million and £30 million. This position is critical for ensuring comprehensive and competitive bids in collaboration with various stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:*Prepare multiple detailed mechanical and plumbing estimates.*Hold meetings with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.*Assist in the preparation of labour histograms, draft programs, cash flow forecasts, material schedules, and procurement schedules.*Work collaboratively with the Electrical Estimation Team for joint bids.*Review specifications, schematics, and drawings.*Prepare accurate cost estimates and take offs, keeping updated with the price of materials and labour.*Negotiate deals with suppliers and subcontractors.*Support the contracts manager, commercial team, and supervisors with ongoing projects.Requirements:*Significant experience in the high-rise residential sector and Design and Build schemes.*Familiarity with estimating software like Quickscale and Extreme Estimating is preferred.*Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.*Office-based role, requiring presence in the office 5 days a week.Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex estimating projects from conception through to completion.
