Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic young professional to join our team as an IT apprentice and learn on the job whilst working through an Infrastructure Technician Level 3 programme.

The IT Apprentice will complete basic Admin and other duties as 1st line support for KEA IT team providing telephone and remote support to our varied customer base, associates, and instructors.

Main role / Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to]:

To ensure accurate logging of issues via our help desk system and to ensure suitable solutions to problems quickly and efficiently
To implement, maintain and proactively support our network, server and desktop infrastructure
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, printers and scanners
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
Partnering with our external IT provider to escalate and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
To work as part of the support team, providing telephone and remote support to our varied customer base, associates and instructors

Skills, qualifications and experience required:

Attained a minimum of Grade B at GCSE level in Maths and English or equivalent.
Experience and knowledge of onsite educational franchise centre development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Working week: 35 hours a week

Salary: £18,000 Per Annum

Desired Qualifications:

3 GCSE Grade A - C or above, plus English and Maths or equivalent at grade C or above.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programmes offer on-going development tracks.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
