Senior Control Systems Engineer
Glasgow - hybrid (site visits required)
£45-50 per hour Outside IR35
6 month initial

Essential Skillset:

10+ years experience as a Control Systems / Controls Engineer

Experience developing control logic and control system specifications

Experience programming PLCs (Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens)

Ability to produce wiring diagrams, I/O lists, loop drawings and cause & effect diagrams

Knowledge of plant control systems including HMI, DCS and SIS

Desirable Skillset:

Knowledge of Fire & Gas (F&G), Emergency Shutdown (ESD) and Pressure Safety Device (PSD) systems

Experience with installation and commissioning of control systems

Understanding of international codes and standards (ISO, ISA, BS EN, API)

Responsibilities:

Manage and support engineering requirements within assigned project scope

Deliver technical solutions that meet customer objectives

Ensure all project deliverables are technically fit for purpose and compliant with relevant standards

Oversee controls engineering activities including instrumentation, alarms, trips and control logic

Coordinate technical resources and supervise third-party contractors when required
