Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colchester. This is a rewarding, full-time role supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis.

About the Role:

Support a child with specific learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive socially and emotionally.

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement tailored support plans.

Foster a positive, nurturing environment that builds the child's confidence and independence.

Use creative strategies and resources to promote engagement and learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language needs).

Be patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children's development.

Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential).

Have or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the update service.
