Teaching Assistant - Godalming

Location: Godalming, Surrey
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support schools in Godalming. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a positive school environment.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom, helping to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. You may work with the whole class, small groups, or provide additional support to individual pupils who require extra help.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities

Assist pupils with their learning, both in groups and on a 1:1 basis

Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials

Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Support pupils' social and emotional development

Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential)

A positive, patient, and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
