Maintenance Fitter

Our client is one of the largest manufacturers in the UK, they are looking for Maintenance Fitters (Mechanical & Electrical) to join their team.

Diagnose and fix problems with manufacturing machines and mechanical parts.

Work with machine operatives for machine set ups and change over.

Complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly machine servicing.

Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Test and inspect electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of systems (Electrical Maintenance Fitter).

Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interest of the company.

Ensure compliance with the Company's policies including Health & Safety are complied with.

Observe and comply with all good working practices.

Essential Criteria

Appropriate City & Guilds and/or NVQ3 Qualification (Essential for Electrical).

Adept at using Microsoft Word and Excel packages.

Methodical approach to solving queries.

Good time management skills.

Ability to work on own initiative, but understand level of responsibility within the team.

Ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.

Possess a valid driving license.
