Job Description

The Analyst, Marketing Analytics at Phreesia will continuously improve marketing campaigns and optimize our marketing spend. We’re looking for an experienced data analyst (minimum of 2 years) with an expertise in marketing analytics to determine how to efficiently deploy our marketing budget to increase our market share. The ideal candidate will be equal part strategist and tactician. This individual should have a mathematical and critical thinking skill set and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst is expected to demonstrate skills in data analysis and management, problem solving, modeling, and have the ability to develop and analyze business cases.

What You Will Do:

  • Measure the performance of marketing campaigns, develop KPI reports that tell the story behind the data to non-technical team members and drive key marketing, product, and business decisions
  • Work with analytics leads to build out our marketing attribution capability, with a strong focus on building a best in class multi-touch attribution model
  • Analyze existing data and generate actionable insight to drive business objectives including improved customer experience, increased cross-selling and conversion, and optimal utilization
  • Design and implement marketing performance dashboards
  • End-to-end ownership of forecast development every month and at key financial milestones
  • Track investment performance via various reporting tools/dashboards + custom analytics
  • Understand performance drivers and refresh monthly outlooks to support strategic funding decisions
  • Assist with reporting and measurement to include cross-marketing and client information datasets
  • Manage ad-hoc requests and proactively analyze marketing data for key findings
  • Help enable self-service within our organization using visualization tools


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Math, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in data management or marketing analytics
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to manage, manipulate and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using technology as well as statistical and econometric modeling techniques
  • Experience with database structures and data mining techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a customer-centric focus
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects and deliverables
  • Organized, detail-oriented, QA-focused
  • Understanding of digital/media/marketing data sources and metrics preferred: Digital (e.g. Web, Social, Display, Search etc.); Media (e.g. buying models, CPU, Impressions, GRP); Measurement analytics, Quantitative business measures (Adstock, ROI, Churn, etc.); Statistics (Correlations, sample sizing, etc.)
  • Proficiency with the following tools preferred:
    • Web Analytics: Google Analytics
    • CRM: Salesforce and Marketo
    • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with PowerBI and SQL a plus
