Embark on a dynamic journey as a Logistics Engineer, where your expertise will be the driving force behind the seamless integration of logistics and engineering processes within the UK and North Europe Regions. This pivotal position is based in the West Midlands, with periodic travel to supplier sites and plants across the UK and Netherlands, ensuring a diverse and stimulating work environment.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for defining logistic concepts, ensuring the efficiency of supply and delivery systems within the plant, and overseeing the sizing and training of personnel. Your role will extend to the meticulous analysis of Bills of Materials, creation of material flow for projects, and the management of packaging design and manufacturing.

Your mechanical comprehension and technical understanding will be put to the test as you work closely with process accountables to optimise logistic flows and meet ergonomic requirements. Your proficiency in SAP will be highly advantageous, as will your knowledge of lean management principles.

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate a high level of English, exceptional communication, and teamwork skills. Your ability to lead and motivate teams, coupled with your interpersonal and organisational prowess, will be key to your success. Confident presentation skills are essential to inspire and drive your team towards achieving remarkable results.

A time-served Apprentice or a Graduate in a related Engineering discipline, you will be educated to a minimum of HND level. Your experience in project management will be evident, and your readiness to travel and work within the Gestamp network is a must.

This role demands a proactive individual with a positive attitude towards change and the capacity to adapt to new circumstances. Numerical computation skills are crucial, as is the ability to issue clear reports, maintain effective communication, and escalate issues when necessary.
