Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to work in a variety of specialist provisions and inclusive schools across Northampton. We are offering both flexible supply opportunities and longer-term positions with full teaching responsibilities, providing options to suit different career goals and availability.

These roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs while working within supportive school environments. Many of the schools we work with support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities (for full responsibility roles):

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a variety of special educational needs

Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with school expectations

Complete marking and provide constructive feedback to support student development

Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reviews where required

Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Supply roles may include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across SEN settings

Supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured classroom environment

Maintaining positive classroom management and engagement

The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (desirable)

Demonstrate strong classroom management and adaptability

Be compassionate, patient, and committed to inclusive education

Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
