Exciting Social Worker Opportunity in the Assessment Team

Payrate : 37 p/hr

Location : Bolton

Role Responsibilities:

• Conducting home visits to gather information and assess safeguarding concerns, conducting initial child/family needs assessments.
• Managing s47 enquiries, coordinating statutory meetings, and closing s47 cases when no further action is required.
• Providing short-term interventions and collaborating with other teams when necessary.
• Engaging with the courts when required to protect a child, including Emergency Protection Order applications and Care Proceedings initiation.
• Participating in duty rota cover for front-line social work.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant social work roles, with a focus on referral and assessment teams and familiarity with statutory processes.
• Ability to undertake duty and home visits, providing support and intervention as needed.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and protocols related to child safeguarding.
• Full UK driving license is essential.
