Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:20 AM - 3:10 PM

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded secondary school in Bury. This role involves providing one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to a meaningful and enriching education.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with a range of SEND, ensuring they have access to a meaningful and enriching education.

Assist with tailored learning activities, promoting independence and confidence.

Work alongside teachers and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs).

Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a strong school community.

Assist with behaviour management strategies and ensure that all students are treated with dignity and respect.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with SEND, ideally in a secondary school setting.

Understanding of a variety of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.

A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude towards supporting students with additional needs.

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with students, staff, and parents.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEND-specific training) are desirable but not essential.
