A fantastic Service Manager role for this market leading manufacturer of end of line packaging machinery supplied into the food, beverage & logistics/materials handling markets. They want to recruit an experienced Service Manager to manage a team of Field Service Engineers covering the UK & Ireland.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £65,000

LOCATION: Covering the UK & Ireland, home based and in the office 1 to 2 days per week to start and then 1 day every 2 weeks once established. Occasional trips to Europe 4 to 6 times per year in 2 to 3 day trips required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Manager - packaging machinery
 
This is a classic Service Manager role, managing a small team of Field Service Engineers dealing with repairs, upgrades (50%) and installation of new machines (50%).
 
Your duties will include management (and recruitment when necessary) of the field service team, planning & scheduling, project management & promoting aftersales services, including selling upgrades, service contracts & training.
 
Initially, you will be working alongside the current Service Manager who is retiring in the middle of next year.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Manager - packaging machinery
 
· You will be an experienced Service Manager having managed a team of Field Service Engineers.
· Ideally, you will have worked for a company supplying packaging or special purpose machinery into the FMCG (food & beverage market).
· You will be a qualified multi skilled Engineer.
· Ideally, you will have used SAP software & will have some project management experience too.
