A well-established organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Credit Controller to join its high-performing finance team. This is a key role in ensuring strong working capital performance, accurate customer account management and effective cash collection processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Conduct proactive credit control activity via phone and email, maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
- Investigate and resolve invoice, payment and credit note queries, working closely with internal teams and customers.
- Accurately post and allocate customer payments, resolving unallocated cash promptly.
- Produce customer statements and supply supporting documentation such as copy invoices.
- Review and action daily credit hold lists, escalating high-risk accounts where required.
- Assist with credit checks, monitor customer payment behaviour and flag potential bad debts.
- Maintain accurate customer account information and update portals/EDI systems where applicable.
- Support ageing reviews, internal reporting and wider finance team tasks.
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure credit control procedures are consistently followed.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Experienced in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance function.
- A strong communicator with confidence in managing customer relationships.
- Highly organised, accurate and able to prioritise a busy workload.
- Analytical, proactive and able to investigate and resolve queries efficiently.
- Comfortable working with finance systems and maintaining high-quality data.
- A team player who brings a positive, solutions-focused approach.
