THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established firm of Consulting Engineers formed over 25 years ago and have an impressive portfolio of clients covering geotechnical, civil, structural, telecoms and environmental engineering. Due to an increase in work load they need to recruit CAD Technicians (AutoCAD) to add to their telecoms team.

THE VACANCY

The client is a provider of design services to the mobile telecommunications industry are currently looking to expand their design team in line with the current volume of ongoing telecoms projects and would like to hear from CAD Technicians (AutoCAD) looking for their next career move.

The CAD Technicians (AutoCAD) will be responsible for:

* Creating detailed, technically accurate and to scale drawings for the passive design infrastructure on behalf of mobile telecommunication operators, adhering to the individual specific design requirements of each network and design brief using AutoCAD or other software or materials reasonably requested, having regard to timescales and KPI's set from time to time.

* Ensure all designs are value engineered but with strict regard to requirements of the CDM Regulations 2015 to facilitate safe methods of working for the construction, maintenance, and de-commission of a telecommunication cell site.

* Review and interpret and support in the preparation of survey reports and brief, calculations and any other information communicated to be reflected into the design in hand.

* Properly documenting design variations and attending to accurate amendments to the design, ensuring versions are clearly labelled and filed.

* Produce all required and associated documentation with a design.

* Gathering necessary data for and preparing photomontage and photograph information packs.

* Comply with all regulatory and professional certification standards and codes in force and which may be amended from time to time.

* Liaising with the relevant personnel and third parties to create and modify designs to ensure the design brief and specification is met and which may be varied from time to time.

* Effectively and efficiently communicate any anticipated variations to the design, seeking agreement from the relevant personnel as required from time to time.

* Liaising with the relevant parties to provide all necessary information as and when required.

* Ensuring proper management of the filing system and folders.

* Undertake site surveys gathering all required information for design for new and existing ground level telecommunication sites.

* Completing and maintaining the Group's database with progress from start to finish of individual projects/jobs efficiently and to the specification required.

ABOUT YOU

The CAD Technicians (AutoCAD) will ideally have 3 years' experience, ideally within a telecoms experience. However, additional training will be available.
