Multiple Learning Support Assistant Roles - PMLD Specialism (Ashford)

Full-time | Monday to Friday | £90 per day

Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)? Tradewind are currently recruiting multiple Learning Support Assistants for a highly regarded Special Needs School in Ashford, offering the chance to support both primary and secondary-aged students.

This is a unique opportunity to join a nurturing and inclusive school environment where you can help students thrive both academically and personally.

About the Role:
  • Support students with PMLD in both group and one-to-one settings

  • Assist with learning activities and daily routines, including personal care such as toileting and feeding

  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to implement individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom

  • Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment

Who We're Looking For:
  • Candidates with experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs, particularly PMLD (advantageous but not essential)

  • A caring, patient, and flexible approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education

  • Comfortable providing personal care, including toileting and feeding

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • Legally able to work in the UK and willing to travel up to 1 hour for work

  • Willingness to undergo all necessary background checks, including an Enhanced DBS (child workforce) - support provided
