Job Title: PPA/General Teacher - Full Timetable

Leader Education is currently recruiting a General Teacher to provide cover during PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time.

In this role, you will follow a set timetable, delivering lessons during teachers designated PPA periods.

The school serves approximately 200 young people aged 11 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and an increasing number of pupils with Autism.

The school is well-equipped with outstanding facilities such as a therapy pool and sensory room. It is also supported by a dedicated team of staff who are committed to enriching the lives of the children.

This is a long-term position with a typical working schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Some experience working with or alongside pupils that have SEND
• Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
• Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
• Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
• Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
