Job Opportunity: Port Operations Supervisor
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Shifts: Days, Nights & Weekends (3-12 hour shifts)

TLP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Port Operations Supervisors to join their dynamic operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with a background in port, terminal, or vessel operations who are ready to take the next step in a leadership role. You'll play a key part in ensuring smooth and efficient vessel turnarounds and transit calls at one of the UK's leading ports.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Port Operations Supervisor, you will:

* Lead, manage and develop a high-performing operational team focused on safety and productivity

* Oversee the safe and efficient planning, discharge, and loading of vessels

* Implement daily operational plans and ensure teams are equipped with accurate instructions and training

* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, dock rules, and company policies

* Respond to operational changes and support business continuity

What We're Looking For:

You'll bring a combination of operational experience and leadership capability, with the ability to motivate teams in a high-paced environment.

Essential:

* Proven experience supervising vessel discharging/loading operations

* Hands-on knowledge of Tug Masters, Forklift Trucks, and similar port equipment

* Full, clean UK driving licence

* Demonstrable safety-first mindset with team management experience

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Strong IT literacy in an operational setting

* Flexible approach to shift work and changing priorities

Desirable:

* HGV Class 1 licence
