The Transport Coordinator is responsible for the efficient administration, monitoring and assisting the coordination of transport operations to ensure the timely delivery and collection of products,
The role ensures assisting the Transport Manager in compliance of transport legislation, assisting in the optimization of fleet usage, and supports customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Administrational Tasks
Ensure sub-contractors are briefed and that PO's are sent
Ensure transport planner is updated daily to reflect what has actually happened on said day
Ensure vehicles & trailers are presented for maintenance as per the planner and raise any foreseen issues with the Transport Manager
De brief drivers on a daily basis and pre brief them with the following days work
Carry out monthly vehicle/driver equipment audits
Carry out daily trailer check and update plannerFleet Coordination
Monitor vehicle availability, usage, and maintenance schedules.
Liaise with drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Customer Service
Communicate delivery times and updates to customers for Sales and hire.
Handle transport-related queries and resolve issues promptly, via email and phone.
Be a point of contact for the customer in relation to transport.Problem Resolution
Respond to unexpected delays, breakdowns, or logistical challenges.
Assist in the Implementation of contingency plans to minimize disruption to operations.Reporting
Support management in reviewing KPIs and operational efficiency.

Assist in the delivery of accurate daily transport plans for deliveries and collections of units.
Assist in ensuring vehicle and driver allocation maximizes efficiency and minimizes costs.
Maintain high customer satisfaction through reliable transport operations.
Maintain complete and accurate transport records.
Provide regular reports on transport KPIs, including cost efficiency, delivery performance, and fleet utilization.
Provide timely updates to customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
Identify opportunities to improve transport efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
Support management in developing and implementing new logistics strategies
