Tunstall, Kent - hybrid after probation. 3 days office Tuesday to Thursday

Are you an experienced "Employee Benefits" professional from a consultancy or brokerage background, looking for your next challenge? We’re working with a highly respected firm that is expanding its specialist team and is seeking a proactive "Group Risk & Healthcare Consultant" with a solid background in:

  • Group risk benefits (e.g., life assurance, income protection, critical illness)
  • Healthcare insurance (private medical, dental, cash plans)
  • Broader corporate benefits strategy and scheme administration

Please note: This role is not within HR. We’re looking for candidates with a background in employee benefits consulting, broking, or provider-side delivery - not internal HR benefits administration.

What the role will entail, but is not limited to -


• Market review exercises for Group Risk and Healthcare policies:

  • Liaise with clients to gather relevant information.
  • Request terms from market & existing providers
  • Analyse the market feedback
  • Produce a report and recommendation to clients
  • Instruct insurers to proceed – including relevant completion of forms etc.


• Process annual accounts for scheme renewals:

  • Check and issue accounts to employers for payment


• Support clients with queries on their schemes or potential schemes:

  • Answer member questions, whether written or verbal.
  • Answer employer questions, whether written or verbal.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the issues and hot topics in the Group Risk & Healthcare sector.
  • Liaise with providers to ensure we have the most relevant information on their overall proposition
  • Communicate with existing and former clients, providers and advisers via e-mail, letter and phone.
  • Obtain, check and issue invoices (PMI, GLA, GIP, Cash Plan & Dental).
  • Save the invoices to the company file.
  • Update individual EE premiums on internal DB.
  • Issue invoice to employer.
