Role- Graduate Controls Engineer

Salary- £27,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)

Type- Permanent

Location- West Berkshire

My client work within engineering and manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Graduate Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team.

The Graduate Controls Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:

Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Have knowledge or experience of working with PLC systems ideally or an interest in working with them - Beckhoff or similar
An interest in software engineering would be ideal - any previous exposure to C++, Java or similar (this could be in your hobbies too)
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Graduate Controls Engineer role will involve:

Working within the existing engineering automation technical team
Working on PLC's and a range of projects
Developing PLC code and software for projects
Always looking at identifying areas for improvements  
Commissioning activities and testing
Working from electrical schematics
Integrating PLC code
