Quality Control Technician
Location: Leominster
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Control Technician to join a well-established business in Leominster that design and manufacture a signature collection of fixtures. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in safeguarding product quality by carrying out inspections, testing, and root cause analysis, while working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and drive best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
Measure dimensions, test functionality, and identify defects or non-conformances
Accurately record inspection results, test data, and quality metrics
Prepare reports to monitor trends, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain and calibrate testing and measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO frameworks)
Support and train production staff on quality standards and best practices
Work collaboratively with internal teams to promote a strong culture of quality and accountability
Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience in a Quality Control / Quality Assurance role within manufacturing or engineering
Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach
Working knowledge of quality control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience using quality management systems and recording inspection data
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
