JOB TITLE: Engineering Manager

LOCATION: Cirencester

SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000

THE ENGINEERING MANAGER OPPORTUNITY:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers through 1:1s, coaching, performance management and career development
• Foster a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative engineering culture
• Own end-to-end delivery within the product team, ensuring work is well-planned, prioritised, and executed to a high technical standard
• Partner closely with the Scrum Master, managing dependencies, organisational blockers, and stakeholder communication
• Contribute to key technical decisions relating to architecture, tooling, processes and engineering best practice, ensuring strong documentation and long-term codebase health

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

• Professional background in software development with experience writing production code
• Strong technical grounding across: C# .NET | JavaScript | SQL | Git, GitHub Actions | Octopus Deploy | Windows Server | Azure
• Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams
• Track record of delivering software products or platform enhancements in fast-paced environments
• Strong architectural judgement and experience making sustainable technical decisions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate between technical and commercial contexts
• Experience working within modern delivery environments (Scrum, CI/CD, automation)
• Previous involvement in scaling teams or contributing to team structure and hiring
