Jackson Hogg is looking to speak with a Production Manager to take the lead at a long-established plastics engineering business in Burnley. With a loyal customer and employee base, the business is now preparing for an exciting period of growth.

We're looking for someone who combines hands-on manufacturing experience with great leadership skills. If you're confident with CNC processes, know your way around production planning, and can bring a team along with you this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

What you'll be doing:

* Production Planning & Workflow: Manage daily and long-term production schedules across CNC routing, turning and milling departments to ensure smooth, efficient operations.

* Lead Time Management: Take control of job scheduling and resource allocation to meet customer deadlines.

* Job Setup & Contract Review: Liaise with the commercial team to confirm manufacturing processes, review drawings, and order any required tooling before jobs hit the shop floor.

* Quality Assurance: Oversee quality across all departments, making sure parts and processes meet standards before despatch, including issuing Certificates of Conformity when required.

* Manufacturing Admin: Manage everything from manufacturing orders and part checks to despatch processes, while ensuring all production documentation is accurate and up to date.

* Team Leadership: Motivate, support, and lead a loyal and skilled workforce, driving a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

* Workplace Organisation & H&S: Champion 5S and safe systems of work, ensuring a well-organised, compliant and efficient production environment.

* Site & Maintenance Oversight: Take ownership of the site's general upkeep, machinery maintenance and planning for future site relocation.

What you'll need:

* Strong knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes and CAD systems

* Experience setting and tracking engineering KPIs

* Proven background in production and capacity planning

* Solid understanding of workplace organisation and quality systems

* Excellent communication and leadership skills — calm under pressure, and confident bringing others with you

* A proactive, hands-on approach and a real sense of ownership
