Location: Oxford OX Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift Pattern: Rotating WeeksHays are working with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join a critical site based in Oxford.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in critical environments, power systems and reactive maintenance to join a well-established on-site engineering team.Shift PatternWeek A

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 07:00 - 19:00
• Thursday & Friday: Off
• Saturday: 08:00 - 19:00
• Sunday: 08:00 - 17:00

Week B

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: Off
• Thursday & Friday: 07:00 - 19:00
• Saturday & Sunday: Off

Role SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the electrical plant and equipment, ensuring all faults are rectified swiftly and in line with SLA requirements.Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to reactive maintenance and breakdowns within agreed SLAs
• Carrying out repairs to modular UPS systems
• Testing and diagnosing power quality issues, including harmonic distortion
• Applying a risk-focused maintenance approach in critical environments
• Providing emergency response, standby and call-out support
• Escalating urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager
• Completing all reactive Helpdesk requests
• Producing method statements, risk assessments and works requests
• Undertaking upgrade and installation works
• Interpreting technical drawings, O&Ms and instructions
• Monitoring environmental conditions and critical equipment loading
• Completing incident reports and root cause analysis
• Ensuring all engineering documentation and records are kept up to date
• Adhering to financial and internal processes at all times
• Willingness to work above and beyond contractual hours when required
