We're recruiting a Senior Ecological Consultant for a leading environmental consultancy, offering a fantastic hybrid working setup from their Birmingham (Kenilworth) office. This is a great opportunity to lead on major ecology projects while supporting and mentoring a passionate team.

Role Overview:

*

Lead and manage complex terrestrial ecology projects from start to finish.

*

Produce high-quality technical reports, EPSL applications, EcIA chapters, and habitat regulation assessments.

*

Line manage and support Ecologists and Assistant Ecologists, guiding fieldwork and development.

*

Support the preparation of tenders and manage client relationships.

*

Ensure projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget requirements.

*

Maintain professional development and CIEEM membership.

What We're Looking For:

*

A degree in ecology or related subject.

*

Strong consultancy experience and a deep understanding of UK legislation and ecological survey techniques.

*

Expertise in one or more areas of ecology (e.g. bats, GCN, birds), with relevant protected species licences.

*

Excellent leadership, reporting and communication skills.

*

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

*

UK residency and Right to Work in the UK.
