Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transport Operator to join their busy transport department based in Teynham, Kent.

The main duties of this role are:

Ensuring that all drivers and sub-contractors are properly briefed and all elements of each job are clear.

Route planning and effective utilisation of all available resources

Transport compliance and ensuring all drivers follow drivers hours regulations.

Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure the smooth operation of the transport department.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

CPC with National or International qualification is preferred.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Experience working within a logistics / distribution environment.

Excellent customer service skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

The ability to work towards strict deadlines

A sound understanding of transport planning.

Salary/ Hours of work:

The salary for this position is up to £33,000 per annum dependant on experience.

The hours of work are 4 on 4 off with the hours being 19:00 to 07:00.

This role can be either permanent or temporary dependant on candidate preference
