ROLE: Quality ManagerLOCATION: Stevenage, HertfordshireSALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 dependant of experienceAbout the RoleAn established and growing electronics manufacturing business in Stevenage is seeking a skilled and proactive Quality Manager to lead its quality assurance and compliance efforts. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality electronic products to a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defence, medical, and industrial sectors.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13845 and customer-specific standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
  • Manage and lead audits – internal, customer, and third-party – ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Oversee product and process quality through inspections, testing, and monitoring of KPIs.
  • Manage and develop quality staff, providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and maintain high satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and performance reviews to senior management.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within an EMS or precision electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13845 and related quality standards.
  • Experience in managing audits and working with aerospace or high-reliability industry clients.
  • Practical understanding of quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with QMS software and Microsoft Office suite.
