English Teacher - KS3 & KS4 (Full Time)

Veritas Education are looking to appoint a full‑time English Teacher for a secondary school in Blackburn, starting immediately after the Easter break and continuing until the end of the academic term. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate, reliable, and committed teacher who can confidently deliver English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role

The school are seeking someone who can:

Teach English Language and English Literature to KS3 & KS4
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support learning and progress
Manage behaviour in line with school policies
Support students preparing for GCSE examinations
Work effectively with the English department and wider school staffYou will be joining a supportive school environment with well‑structured schemes of work and strong leadership.

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE specialising in English
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom management skills
A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Veritas)
