We are looking for an Experienced Production Scheduler.
The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and issuing executable production schedules. This includes verification of available capacity and material, to validate or modify the production schedule and to resolve issues affecting schedule adherence. The Production Scheduler is part of a team who deal with customer service inquiries and issues and is responsible for providing accurate and timely lead time estimates and order status information.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, adjusting and communicating the master schedule to maximize the utilization of resources, such as labor, tools, materials and facility capacity
Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
Ensures all stakeholders are fully cognizant of production status and that work planning and execution objectives are integrated & communicated
Will be involved with continuous improvement activities related to production planning, customer service and inventory management
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies:
- Prior scheduling experience (minimum 2 years)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid computer skills including MS Excel, MS Project
- SAP and other SQL experience considered a definite asset
Education and Training:
Education: High school graduate a must; post-secondary education considered an asset. PMAC, APICS also considered very valuable
Experience: 1-2 years in a Manufacturing environment
