An enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher with a specialism and passion for Chemistry is required to join an Outstanding mixed school in Barnet for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with the fundamental principles of chemistry and their relevance to the world around them.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Chemistry to Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE Science examinations, with a strong emphasis on chemical concepts.
* Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for scientific exploration and experimentation in chemistry.
* Assess and monitor student progress in Science (Chemistry), providing clear and constructive feedback to support their understanding.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background.
* Demonstrated experience teaching Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4.
* A strong and comprehensive knowledge of chemical principles and effective teaching methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex chemical ideas clearly and engagingly to students.
