Script IP is a legal firm providing Intellectual Property services to clients worldwide. We currently have around 250 clients, around 600 suppliers and work in multiple currencies.

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive, reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Co-ordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support a wide range of financial operations. The exact responsibilities will be dependent on experience, with the role having the opportunity for growth for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in multiple currencies.
  • Arranging purchase invoice payment runs in multiple currencies and providing remittances.
  • Processing supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Providing monthly client statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Processing Patent Office deposit accounts transactions.
  • Processing expenses claims.
  • Processing debit card use.
  • Utilising Xero and Dext accounting software to manage financial data.
  • Utilising Equinox IP software for sales invoice transfer and disbursement charging.
  • Performing payment audits.
  • Performing anti-money laundering checks.
  • Providing general administrative support as required.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within legal services or accounting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Xero & Dext accounting software is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail are essential.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reporting will be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, internal and accountant teams are essential.
  • AAT or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
  • Maintaining discretion and confidentiality is essential.
