Script IP is a legal firm providing Intellectual Property services to clients worldwide. We currently have around 250 clients, around 600 suppliers and work in multiple currencies.
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Co-ordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support a wide range of financial operations. The exact responsibilities will be dependent on experience, with the role having the opportunity for growth for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in multiple currencies.
- Arranging purchase invoice payment runs in multiple currencies and providing remittances.
- Processing supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Providing monthly client statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Processing Patent Office deposit accounts transactions.
- Processing expenses claims.
- Processing debit card use.
- Utilising Xero and Dext accounting software to manage financial data.
- Utilising Equinox IP software for sales invoice transfer and disbursement charging.
- Performing payment audits.
- Performing anti-money laundering checks.
- Providing general administrative support as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within legal services or accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Xero & Dext accounting software is essential.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail are essential.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reporting will be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, internal and accountant teams are essential.
- AAT or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
- Maintaining discretion and confidentiality is essential.
