Job Overview:

One of my local government clients is seeking an Employment Advisor. This role is part of the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer 'Full Potential' programme, supporting care leavers aged 16-25.

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of young people, providing tailored employment support, and developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, employers, and external organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised employment support to care-experienced young people (16-25).

*

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting Southwark's in-house employment services.

*

Build effective partnerships with employers, training providers, and support services.

*

Meet with young people across the borough and maintain accurate records of engagement and progress.

About You:

*

Proven experience supporting care leavers, NEET young people, young parents, or those with English as a second language.

*

Strong understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable youth in accessing employment.

*

Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

*

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
