Children’s Residential Support Worker – 2-Bed EBD Service

Location: Rugeley

Salary: £23,800 – £26,950 per annum (dependent on experience)

Sleep-in Pay: £50 per sleep-in

Rota: 1 long day on (07:30 – 23:00), followed by a sleep-in and 2 days off

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Driving Requirement: Must hold a full UK manual driving licence

We are working with our client to recruit a Children’s Residential Support Worker for their 2-bed residential service based in Rugeley, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a stable and supportive team making a genuine difference in young people’s lives. The role follows a consistent rolling rota that promotes a healthy work-life balance while ensuring the young people receive consistent, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day care and support for young people in a safe, nurturing environment
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and colleagues
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, education, independence, and life skills
  • Support with household tasks, routines, and activities
  • Follow safeguarding and behavioural support procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care plans

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a care setting is desirable
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards
  • Knowledge of Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Reliable, resilient, and passionate about making a difference
  • Ability to work on a rolling rota including sleep-ins
  • Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
