The Role - KS2 SEN Teacher - Royston

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, nurture-based teaching to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches consistently
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning aligned with EHCP outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, therapists, and external professionals
  • Create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and valued

The Ideal Candidate - KS2 SEN Teacher

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or QTLS (desirable), or has significant experience within an SEN/SEMH setting
  • Has experience supporting KS2 pupils with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs
  • Demonstrates resilience, patience, and consistency
  • Is skilled in building positive, restorative relationships
  • Can commute to Royston
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Is enthusiastic about ongoing professional development
