About the Role

We’re partnering with a leading environmental consultancy that’s expanding its Planning & Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) division. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant to take a strategic leadership role, driving growth in sectors such as property development, infrastructure planning, and renewable energy, while maintaining a strong foothold in the independent wind development market.

As a Principal Consultant, you’ll manage a talented team, lead complex projects, and play a key role in shaping the company’s future. If you’re passionate about sustainability, client engagement, and delivering high-quality solutions, this role offers the perfect platform to make an impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead major projects as Project Manager, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Act as a technical expert in your specialist area.
  • Produce and review high-quality technical reports and management plans.
  • Mentor and manage up to 5 consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Drive business development, attracting new clients and expanding into new sectors.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and health & safety standards.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, including campaigns, conferences, and thought leadership.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in EIA and planning consultancy, ideally at senior or principal level.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent client relationship management and business development capabilities.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and policy.
