Reed is recruiting on behalf of a leading global logistics organisation for a Freight Forwarder to join their Ocean Exports team based in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established company that operates one of the world’s largest logistics platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing international shipments and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Operational Excellence

• Manage the end-to-end ocean export process, from booking to delivery
• Ensure compliance with customer SOPs, including documentation, governmental filings, and invoicing
• Apply industry knowledge to resolve transportation and documentation challenges

Customer & Partner Relationships

• Collaborate with international teams and third-party agents to ensure smooth operations
• Build strong relationships with customers, providing timely updates and issue resolution
• Support internal and external reporting and participate in customer business reviews

Essential

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in global forwarding, with a focus on ocean exports and customs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proven customer service experience
