We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities team at a prestigious commercial building in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all mechanical plant and building services systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services, including:

HVAC systems

Pumps, motors, and valves

Air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs)

Boilers and pressurisation units

Hot and cold water systems

Carry out fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on mechanical equipment and plant systems.

Monitor and maintain BMS systems to ensure correct building operation and energy efficiency.

Conduct regular plant room inspections, ensuring all assets are operating safely and efficiently.

Assist in the supervision and coordination of subcontractors and specialist service providers on site.

Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAFM systems, including job sheets and asset history.

Support the wider engineering team with cross-trade responsibilities where safe and competent to do so.

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, site procedures, and statutory requirements.

Participate in a shared on-call rota and provide emergency support outside normal working hours if required
