Senior Development Infrastructure Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee delivery of developer-funded and third-party highway infrastructure projects (S106 & S278 agreements)
• Act as main point of contact for developers, contractors, designers, and stakeholders
• Coordinate technical administration and monitor project progress from planning consent to adoption
• Ensure compliance with legal obligations, standards, and agreements
• Prepare formal documentation and secure financial contributions and fees
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
• Uphold organisational values, equality duties, and health & safety requirements

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience managing highway infrastructure projects via S106 & S278 processes
• Degree-level education or equivalent knowledge with commitment to professional development
• Strong knowledge of highway legislation, design standards, and construction practices
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical, organisational, and planning skills
• High level of IT literacy
• Ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
