One of our private clients are currently looking for a Deputy Home Manager to help run their services. Their services are based in Surrey. You will facilitate the achievement of excellent outcomes for the young people in line with every child matters, along with high standards from inspections by supporting the manager to apply, or in their absence directly apply, good leadership and management of the home.

This is a full time, permanent position with great training and development opportunities. Ideally as the Deputy Team Manager you will need to have Leadership and Management experience.

The responsibilities of a Deputy Team Manager includes:

* Managing the home to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the young people, ensuring that the welfare of the young women is the paramount consideration in the provision of the service
* Manage a quality service aiming to achieve a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
* Providing a therapeutic environment that promotes and supports young people’s recovery from abusive and traumatic life experiences
* Representing the home to outside agencies and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements imposed by them and requirements of commissioners
* Maintaining occupancy levels that are both commensurate with the business needs of the service and needs of the young people placed
* To maintain an in depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes Quality Standards and Regulations,(2015), the CH QS and Regs Giudance, the Children Act,working together other relevant legislation and guidance and company policy and procedure

* To be lead practitioner, role model and mentor to the team to promote delivery of high quality psychologically informed direct care practise

Requirements of a Deputy Team Manager:

* Significant experience as a residential child care worker at a senior/shift leader level or above
* Level 3 diploma – CYPW or equivalent
* A recognised Social Work Qualification (Degree/DipSW/SQSW)
* Experience of providing psychologically informed care
* HCPC registered
* Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
* Experience of working within Leadership and Management

Salary: Up to £26,871 per annum, based on experience
