This Civil Project Engineer opportunity is with a leading consultancy in Chorley that is growing steadily and investing in its people. The Civil Project Engineer will join a supportive multi-office team delivering development infrastructure projects across the UK. For a Civil Project Engineer who enjoys design, coordination and technical variety, this role offers strong exposure, collaboration and the chance to progress within a respected consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities* Deliver highways and drainage designs for development and adoptable works* Prepare calculations, sketches, design models and technical drawings* Use AutoCAD, Site3D, Causeway Flow or similar software* Work to current standards including CIRIA guides, BRE Digest and BS EN 752* Support S278, S38 and S104 approvals and related submissions* Manage your workload across multiple projects and support programme delivery* Undertake site visits and prepare reports and specifications* Support junior staff and contribute to design quality and team efficiency
Candidate requirements* Minimum 3 years of UK highways and drainage design experience* Strong AutoCAD, Site3D, Causeway Flow or similar capability* Good understanding of S278, S38 and S104 standards* Commercial awareness and the ability to manage delivery efficiently* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach* Working toward Chartership, or interested in pursuing it
