Senior Systems Engineer (Contract)

• Senior Systems Engineer contract, up to £60 per hour inside IR35

Their teams work on highly complex systems that support mission critical capability for customers in the UK and internationally. Due to continued programme growth, they are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join the engineering team on a long term contract.

THE SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER ROLE

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will support the delivery of complex engineering programmes across the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with software, electrical and mechanical teams to ensure systems are designed, integrated and validated successfully.

Responsibilities include:

• Capturing, analysing and managing system requirements across the lifecycle
• Designing system architectures and ensuring performance, cost and size constraints are considered
• Managing technical interfaces between subsystems and external systems
• Supporting integration, verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with requirements
• Leading product qualification activities within regulated defence and aerospace environments
• Supporting root cause analysis and technical problem resolution
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams

SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
• Strong experience within defence or aerospace engineering environments
• Proven experience in requirements management and systems architecture
• Experience managing interfaces between complex subsystems
• Knowledge of integration, verification and validation (IV&V) processes
• Familiarity with defence or aerospace standards and engineering governance
• Experience using engineering tools for modelling, simulation or analysis
