We're working with an engineering business in Sheffield who specialise in the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment, including pumps and associated components.

They are looking to recruit an apprentice-trained Manual Machinist to join their workshop team.

The Role

• Operating manual lathes, milling machines and boring machines
• Machining components such as shafts, bearings and general engineering parts
• Working from engineering drawings
• Carrying out repair and one-off machining work
• Use of pillar and radial drills
• Completing work to a high standard

What They're Looking For

• Apprentice trained in mechanical engineering / machining
• Strong manual machining background
• Able to work from engineering drawings
• Experience within a workshop environment

What's on Offer

• £35,000 - £40,000 basic
