Location: Various primary schools across the local area

Contract: Flexible supply work – full-time or part-time

Pay Rate:£80–£100 per day (depending on experience, school, and assignment)

About the Role:

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support Primary Schools across the Grimsby area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and making a positive difference in children’s education.

You will work on a supply basis, meaning each week can offer a mixture of short-term, long-term, full-day, and part-day assignments to suit your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support

  • Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day activities
  • Supporting whole-class learning, group work, adaptive teaching activities
  • Helping prepare learning resources and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Providing general supervision and pastoral care

One-to-One Support

  • Provide support to individual pupils with additional needs (SEND)
  • Delivering targeted interventions following teacher or SENCO guidance
  • Supporting pupils to access learning and build confidence

Behaviour Support

  • Promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing school expectations
  • Implementing consistent behaviour strategies
  • Offering calm, consistent, and nurturing support
  • Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing

Flexibility & Adaptability

  • Working across different year groups (EYFS, KS1, KS2)
  • Adapting quickly to new classrooms, routines, and expectations
  • Being available for pre-booked shifts or same-day supply work
  • Communicating clearly with school staff and your Reed consultant

  • Experience in education, this is preferred, but not always required
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
