About us:

Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site.

We are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks. These products are shipped to an Epson warehouse in Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to our in-house machinery, design and technology improvements from which we use our own Epson 6-axis robots.

Hours of work:

2 Rotational shift pattern (17% shift allowance)

Week 1 – Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm Friday 6.00am to 1.00pm

Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm Friday 1.00pm to 8.00pm

Main job functions:

  • To carry out scheduled/non-scheduled Tool overhauls (D.C.A’s) in accordance with the Departments procedures
  • Skill up Subordinates to carry out basic ‘In House’ tooling repairs
  • Provide Engineering support to the Injection Moulding Department at the request of the Injection Moulding Manager
  • Ensure Daily Safety Checks of all Tool Room machinery are carried out on a daily basis and appropriate check sheets completed
  • Skill up new starters on all DCA’s / relevant paperwork
  • To ensure all Department activities conform to the requirements of l Department activities conform to the requirements of BS EN ISO9001
  • Ensure all Daily Checks are carried out in line with the Managers/Specialists expectations

Skills required:

  • Attention to detail
  • PC Literate
  • Physically fit, (lifting, bending and standing for long periods)
  • Good self-management

Qualifications (desirable):

  • ONC or equivalent NVQ level in Engineering
  • Maths, English and Science at GCSE or equivalent at current pass level

Experience required (essential):

  • Experience in manual machining Lathe, Miller, Surface grinding
  • Use of manual and digital measuring equipment

Experience required (desirable):

  • Previous experience in an Toolroom environment
  • CNC machining
  • AutoCAD Software experience
  • EDM Machining (manual/CNC)
